Christmas Tree Meringues | Christmas Recipe

Today I’m sharing with you how to make Christmas Tree Meringues. These are simple and easy to make, they are great deserts, edible gifts, or even table decorations.

Christmas Tree Meringues
  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 125g | 1 Cup Icing Sugar
  • 110g | ½ Cup Caster Sugar
  • 3ml | ½ Teaspoon Vinegar
  • 5ml | 1 Teaspoon Peppermint Essence
  • 3ml | ½ Teaspoon Green Food Colouring
  1. Separate the eggs, placing the whites into a medium sized mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer or a stand mixer to beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl whisk together the icing sugar and caster sugar. Add a spoonful of sugar to the egg whites at a time, beating between each addition until the sugar has disappeared.
  3. Add the liquid ingredients and beat until everything is well combined.
  4. Spoon the meringue into a piping bag with a star nozzle and pipe Christmas tree shapes onto a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in 130C oven or a 260F oven for 2 and a half hours. Leave the meringue too cool in the oven for a further hour.
  6. Serve as they are or add a chocolate star on top.
