Today I’m sharing with you the best mashed potatoes recipe! Even if you already know how to make these, I’ve got a few tips and tricks that will make it turn out perfectly smooth and fluffy.
Place the potatoes into a medium sized saucepan and fill with cold water until the potatoes are coved.
Place the saucepan over high heat and bring to the boil. Turn down to medium high and cook for about 10-15 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender and falling apart.
Strain the potatoes and place back into the saucepan. Place over medium heat for a few minutes to dry the potatoes out.
Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes until smooth. Add the butter in thirds, using the masher until it has melted.
Pour in the warm milk and stir until combined. Season well with salt and pepper, taste to check seasoning until it's perfect.
